Let’s list everything

Our equipment has evolved with time and our biketouring experience. Even if we tried to be equipped as best as possible, we found along the way that we were still missing some key gear (or that they could and should be improved), plus some other gear we had was needless and could be discarded. It seems important to us, when preparing a cycling trip, to find a compromise between the chosen equipment, budget and desired comfort. Here is a very detailed list of all the equipment we are carrying with us in this long journey. It looks like a lot, maybe it is, but let’s not forget we are on a several years trip and will cross all seasons. We wanted to be prepared and have some comfort in this nomadic life.

We wanted to be ready for all kind of weather. Nothing worse than feeling wet and cold while biking. Marie absolutely loved her winter cycling pant, specially in Alaska and Canada when we had to ride under hail, rain and snow.
The Decathlon waterproof pants are very light and had been a great protection under rain!

And when the sun is too strong, the anti-UV blouse is a must have to protect your skin!
